Brianna Booker

Legal Intern

Brianna D. Booker is an alumna of Prairie View A&M University where she majored in Sociology with a minor in African American Studies. Her aspirations are to become an attorney, and eventually go on to teach Black studies after retirement. There is a Malcolm X quote which states “If you’re not ready to die for it, put the word ‘freedom’ out of your vocabulary.”, and she has decided to make that the motto for her life. She has served as a research assistant, an intern with the United Negro College Fund, an HBCU ambassador and more. All of these things, among others, have prepared her to dedicate not only her career but her life to the aid and betterment of her community. She also enjoys working with young people in order to raise up the next generation of young Black scholars, activists, and leaders. Growing up as the daughter of a preacher and minister of music, she has found her faith to be her motivation. Her parents instilled in her as a child to encourage others and to challenge herself to make a difference in the world around her. She hopes to be a beacon of love and of strength, and that when all is said and done, she will have made a tangible difference in American society.
